I’m Parker. I’m a student of philosophy. I’ve been studying philosophy and philosophical theology in and out of the academy for 13+ years, across 3 Master’s programs. This publication is where I share what I’ve learned—and what I’m continuing to learn—with you.

What to Expect

Philosophy. If you subscribe to my publication, you can expect to find essays where I help you learn all sorts of ancient, modern, and cutting-edge philosophy. I’ll write the occasional theology essay with similar goals. I’m pretty obsessed with philosophy and I love sharing what I learn with others—especially through essays.
Life of the Mind Tips. I also write up life of the mind tutorials to help you learn some of the methods I’ve used to be successful in graduate school and which I still use to continue studying today—there are lots of notebook tips, but also reading tips, study methods, and some productivity tips as well. Reading philosophy is cool, but I’d love to help you start doing philosophy yourself as well.
Read-Along Essays. The third type of posts you can expect are read-along companion essays. These are philosophical essays I write for our read-alongs and book clubs. I pick different books for us to read together, books with philosophical themes that I’d like to comment on, and then we read them on the same schedule. I've been alternating between non-fiction and fiction. I write essays for each of our reading sections which will help you understand the book better, help you understand the philosophical themes better, and help you learn more philosophy along the way.
Bonus. I also write essays on philosophical themes in comics, sci-fi movies and shows, SFF books outside the read-alongs, and other bonus essays about things I'm interested in that I can use to help you learn too.
