This Has to Be One of My All-Time Favorite Podcast Episodes!
I had a fantastic conversation with
of Unsolicited Advice on YouTube about all things Philosophy. Joe earned an undergrad and a Master’s degree in philosophy from Cambridge and now he hosts an absolutely exploding YouTube channel where he effectively brings philosophy to the public.This has to be one of my all-time favorite Parker’s Pensées Podcast episodes. I meant to record an hour with him but we ended up going over two! He’s an interesting guy, who knows his philosophy very well, and is refreshingly humble and honest about his philosophical opinions. He’s just a very charming dude—but that might be the accent as well.
We talked about a lot of philosophy and he let me push him a little bit on his view of mental causation in light of the argument from Reason—which we covered in our read-along of C.S. Lewis’s Miracles here:
