This is so exciting! Don't think there's a better time for me to read Dune.

If I decide to become a paid member DURING the read along, and say I become a member after the first call, can I join in the calls after that?

Yeah of course. Paid members get access to the paid member chat where I drop the zoom links so you can just find them there whenever you join and you'll have access to all the premium/exclusive content on my Substack for as long as you're a paid sub

Large worms and mining for spice. Not to mention those cool water circulation suits and the powerful hyposonic weapons

Been following your work for a while and decided to become a paid subscriber yesterday to follow along with the dune read through and participate in the calls! My brain seems to tell me that dune has always really been about the twisting and I guess "bastardization" of the Messiah model or motif, I'm excited to look at it under a new lense ( I've actually never read it)

On page 30 loving the mesh between philosophical ideals and very cool story structures.

Dune is so good to reread because you aways seem to be able to find a different line of interest in the text and the text is always interesting.

I love Lewis's "space" trilogy! Read the first two about a couple weeks ago and couldn't put them down
